Salary: £23,661 - £26,629 pa
The funds for this post are 24 months in the first instance (with a possible extension for a further 3 years)
We require a full time Senior Laboratory Technician to work on a
Multiple Sclerosis Society funded project. This role provides
microscopy services and general laboratory support to the Neurosciences
laboratory and to members of the Cambridge Centre for Myelin Repair.
Key responsibilities of the post are:
- To ensure the smooth running of the Neurosciences Laboratory,
to maximise productivity and compliance with Health and Safety
requirements;
- to provide an microscopy facility for the laboratory (including electron microscopy);
- to attend to the financial needs of budgets for microscopy, tissue culture and the general running of Neuroscience.
Along with an HNC/HND in Applied Sciences (preferable) and experience
of electron microscopy techniques and maintenance of ancillary
equipment, you will have a positive attitude, be flexible, reliable and
able to interact with team colleagues and research staff.
