For the 1+3 studentships in Psychology we would require you to register for either the MSc Psychological Research Methods or the MSc Social and Organisational Psychology  (Streatham Campus, Exeter). For the +3 studentships you would register for the MPhil/PhD Psychology at the Streatham Campus, Exeter.
We strongly recommend that applicants identify a potential supervisor sufficiently early in the process to enable discussion of potential research projects and time to liaise over development of a research proposal before submitting an application. Supervisors can be identified from the following research groups:
Psychology
Value of award:
A studentship will cover UK/EU fees and an annual Research Council maintenance grant (in 2011/12 this was £13,590 for full-time students, pro rata for part-time students) for up to three years for +3 candidates, and up to four years for 1+3 candidates.
Academic entry requirements:
For the 1+3 programme students must have a strong first degree (at least an Upper Second Class Honours or equivalent) in a social science discipline. Candidates for the +3 programme must, in addition, have (or be about to complete) a Masters degree in a humanities or social science discipline.
