2 vacancies, permanent, full time (34.5 hrs/wk), Reading, Berkshire
Salary circa £40,000 per annum, higher for qualified, experienced tutors.
The College of Estate Management (CEM) is the leading international body providing distance learning higher education and training to the property professions and construction industry. The College also publishes CPD material, undertakes independent research on behalf of clients, and provides tailor-made corporate training for organisations in both the public and private sectors. This is an exciting and busy time to join the College; our current priorities are to work towards obtaining our own Taught Degree Awarding Powers (TDAP) and providing New Academic Offer (NAO) in our undergraduate and postgraduate provision.
As a CEM Tutor you will undertake teaching, learning and assessment duties across modules within your subject domain (Quantity Surveying falls under our Construction subject grouping); you will also deliver this across all CEM undergraduate and postgraduate courses of study. You must have relevant academic and professional qualifications and if you are not already in possession of a teaching qualification, we will support you to undertake a relevant qualification when you start.
We are keen to hear from applicants with experience in:
  • Mechanical and electrical quantity surveying techniques;
  • General Construction and Civil Engineering quantity surveying techniques;
  • Construction law;
  • Commercial management in construction;
  • Project management;
